"Those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain". When I first heard that line in Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, I inmediately fell in l
ove with it. It has remained my favorite scene in any movie I've ever seen, and I doubt that will ever change. There is probably no other form of entertainment that touches so many people and stays with them for the rest of their lives. Movies give people the opportunity to enter another world, to live stories outside their own. We need stories; we need them to shape our own. And that's not escapism, it's a basic human need to understand ourselves and others better. A form of expression and immersion, at the same time.
Indeed, movies serve as a way to capture the pulse of a certain time in history, so that, as Roy Batter would say, those moments are not lost like tears in the rain. Therefore here goes my humble attempt at writing a blog about films, and their many, many interesting aspects.
Thus, here I leave you with this memorable scene for you to enjoy. Cheers!

I have to say that this scene gives me goose bumps and I agree with Marya that it is probably one of those moments that remain in the mind of movie lovers. I could watch Blade Runner thousands of times and still discover new details to enjoy. It is not its special effects that are gorgeous for its time, but the combination of everything, performances, dialogues, script, staging ... that make this movie unforgettable.
However, I invite you to discover other sequence that will soon become a classic, this is Colonel Quaritch´s security briefing to the newcomers that arrive to RDA base in Pandora..."You are not in Kansas anymore, Ladies and Gentlemen, you are in Pandora, respect that fact. every linving thing that moves, creep or crowls outside wants to kill you..." Of course from James Camero´s Avatar master piece!
please james cameron could not write an original script even if it was handed to him by the gods! Must I remind you that the line "You are not in Kansas anymore" is from the Wizard of Oz and has thus been used multiple times since, so much that it is already a CLICHE something good script writers should always avoid! he should stick to what he knows best: special effects. Leave the rest for the people who know what theyre doing...
Marya you should respect the legion of followers of Mr.Cameron. He understands the magic of movies as anayone else (well, perhaps Spielberg also does)As in his masterpiece Titanic, he has this rare ability of transporting you to a different world or point in time and make yourself live the story as part of it. I simple call this: cinema!
